I ask this question because I'm going through this situation. Anyone had a supervisor that didn't comunicate at all? Well mine does but like he's not helpful and if you email him asking for points to be removed, help, etc he never responds then he'll say he's going to do something for fix an issue but never follows through. I have finally gtotten fed up and emailed my past supervisors about the situation plus have emailed the head call center manager about the problem. I guess the good news is that it's not just me that has an issue with him so I know it's not because I'm blind or anything like that, it's just him in general. So for those of you that have had this problem what did you do about it and was it a success?
Troy
I guess I've had the problem in the past, but not to the degree you describe.
My main advice is to document everything. Correspond with him in e-mails, and keep those e-mails. Then, if you have to go over his head, you can show why.
Bob
Troy, Sorry you're had that experience. It sounds like Bob and I worked for the same people. At least in the same family as it were. My supervisor not so much didn't care, but was clueless as to what we did, and that wasn't a good thing, either. I totally agree with Bob. Keep copies of everything that goes on between the twoof you. Also, if you meet to discuss things, send your supervisor a note sumarizing the actions he or she and you were going to take. This documents any verbal discussion you have. With you holding all those cards, it puts you in a position of power that you wouldn't otherwise have if it comes to a grievance, or if up-line people bget involved. Good luck.
